I Am Yours, You Are Mine Poem by Margarita Cortés

I Am Yours, You Are Mine

Rating: 5.0

That was but a speck of our lives
Why dwell on such minuscule situations
Yes we've hurt
Yes we still care
Then let's just move towards more loving days

Who would've guessed
such passion would come
from a place once full of hurt
Who would've know
the love you would show

You've taken my hand
The same hands that once broke me
and started to mend
such a lonely sad heart

Is this even real
Could we truly love
When we kiss or when we make love
All I feel is you
Your heartbeat and mine
making sweet music
From what once was shadowed by lies

A past with betrayal
Full of honesty now
Transparency has led us on a journey
Where the future seems so bright
Words that we not only listen to
Words that are heard with our hearts

Lets make love in the NOW
Kisses that taste of wine
Sheets and hair so messy
I am yours, you are mine &
I have you and you have me.
The rest is history!
