I Miss Him Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I Miss Him

Rating: 5.0

It is almost a year and half
That he breathed his last
We were all by his bed side
When he breathed with mouth open and wide

We were all in tears
It was worst founded fear
He was to die natural death
With deterioration in health

My youngest child had so much affection
She will always want his attention
He too may take her in lap and play
Never with intention to go away

We are firmly placed deep rooted family
With all comforts and blessings from almighty
He used to address sometimes
Bad consequences may follow any time

I used to brush it off with his suggestion
But he had imagined it with lots of recognition
It spoke of hidden pain and lots of endurance
Life was for him on elevator and hung on chance

I now sensed for bad omen
He had not spoken about this before even
I really took him seriously now
Life was about to pose problem but to be tackled how!

It was troubling me and turning impossible
For all of us to undergo pain and trouble
He was going away from us forever
Not from impossible diseases or fever

My daughter used to remain always happy
But from now onward she became completely unhappy
She might have seen this as an irreparable loss
I could not weep before her at any cost

She might come to me and cry endlessly
I tried to persuade her by stories successively
She may look at me and try to say" I miss him"
We all may gather around and pacify anyway
