I Miss You - Poem by Michael P. McParland

I miss you so very much.
A deep aching bleeding cut.
I miss your smile shining oh so bright.
I miss your eyes that spoke
of universes filled with love.
Your beautiful hair and skin so pale and fair.
The perfect picture
of beauty in and out.

I miss you so dearly much.
My heart feels as if
it's going to burst.
I just sit and cry and wonder
why this distance is imposed on us.
If you could only see my face
and look deeply in my eyes,
you'd see there are no lies
as I profess my deepest love
and confess that you own my heart
for there is no other you're the best.

I miss you so I hate my life.
Without you in it
or chance to be my wife,
it's just a useless vassal
that is lost and broken.
I miss you, I love you,
I want you in my arms.
Please come be with
me right now and marry me.
I can love no other
I just want you here,
I need to hold you and gaze deeply
in your eyes before I kiss you.

Please forgive my sins
and be my wife right here right now.
I'm lonely without you my love,
I miss you so very much can you feel my tears?
Please know that's my love
and feel it through your body and spirit.
I've only ever truly wanted
to do right by you.
Oh I miss you so my only one,
I lay here broken
crying praying for you.
