something changing

(0/00/00)

i miss you

i miss your voice
and your funny laugh
i miss joking around
and calling things 'rad'
i miss spilling my guts
without hesitation
i miss being myself
with no reservations
i miss seeing your name
on my caller id
i miss worrying your dead
even when there's no need
i miss your crazy music
even the bands i don't like
i miss being surprised
by the bands that're alright
i miss saying hey
when i pass you in the hall
i miss not having to worry
that without you i'll fall
i miss everything about you
and the way that you were
i miss having someone
and somewhere to turn

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,
The dew-drops shine like fairy rain,
The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.

The Wind is hiding in the trees,
