i never thought this way,
that i will see one such day,
when all my dreams will be smashed,
again & again my heart will be slashed.

i never thought this way,
that all my hopes will fade away,
when i will be left alone in darkness,
again & again i will be dumped in mess.

i never thought this way,
that for all my smiles i must pay,
when all my joys will be snatched,
again & again my wounds will be scratched.

i never thought this way,
that i will be lone at bay,
when all my dear ones will be sheered,
again & again my soul will be seared.

i never thought this way,
that i will see one such day,
when all my hopes will fade away,
& i will be lone at bay,
