I No Longer To Aspire Poem by Francis Duggan

I No Longer To Aspire

For to be wealthy and famous i no longer to aspire
Just to live as a good person is all i now desire
To helping anyone of my helping in need
And whenever i can do plant karma's good seed
For attention with othhers i no longer wish to compete
And the materially ambitious i no longer wish to meet
Recently i have had an epiphany or call it what you may
That i will help those in need of helping if i can in some way
I have changed from the man that i once used to be
Who did spend too much time thinking of only me
Truer to my higher self i will try to stay
By performing a good deed or two every day
And be willing to give without expecting to receive
That i have changed for the better i do believe.
