I Once Spoke To A Genius Poem by Gabriel Joel

I Once Spoke To A Genius

I once spoke to a genius in a time long since past
He spoke to me in colorful verse
Of things I could not grasp
He told me the secrets of the universe
I listened to his words, speaking only the truth
Then did I ask 'Concerning love what are your views.'
It was then did he say that love was not true
It was ment to decieve, to hurt an illusion in which you could only loose
I thought of his words was love truly so terrible
Could I trust his words was love just a fable
But then I met you, it was then that I could see
Love brings suffering of that I agree
But I do not believe it was ment to decieve
I believe the genius was wrong, blinded by greed
To scared to understand that love will make you bleed
But at the end no matter the end result
Even if it ended sad and cold
I will aways be happy that with the memorie of you, is how I go.
