The Wind And I Have Met Before Poem by Gabriel Joel

The Wind And I Have Met Before

Doest the soft wind take into account
That we have met more than once
That our paths have crossed, perhaps in a song
That I heard when I was young
And when we meet once again
I shall take the courage to ask
What is it that you have to say
As I do not want to offend
But you and only you put the sun to shame
I long to hear your soft whispers
Speak to me delicate wind that I have found
And I shall return the favor
I ask of you soft wind only a hint, an answer as to how
Before you go and I no longer feel your sweet touch
Oh! Soft wind do not go
For I have yet to expresse
Of how I love you so.
