I Only Want To Grow Old With Some Grace

Rating: 5.0

I only want to grow old with some grace
And whilst in company of others know my place
And live and let live and do my own thing
Who knows I may have lived my final Spring.

A know all old bloke I know and his equally know all wife
'Twould seem they have not learned much from life
Into their seventies and of them one can say
That lady wisdom has not smiled their way.

Suppose with their type ignorance is bliss
One important point in life they seem to miss
That the more we learn of life the less we know we know
Though some with age only sillier seem to grow..

Against anyone I do not wish to hold a grudge
Or I do not need to be judged or be anyone's judge
One into his or her sixties mind games ought not play
And have learned that for the feelings of others respect one ought to pay.

The only advice that I do have to give
Is that in life you follow the guidelines of live and let live
And those in deed or word who never harm anyone
To him and her I only say well done.
