I Owe You Poem by David Hockaday

I Owe You

Rating: 3.0

I will never forget the day,

the time and place

where you jumped in front

of my face

We were at the park playing basketball

and I'm not paying attention at all.

My back was turned

where the neighborhood

Gang banger was behind the fence,

aiming at my head from a distance.

Now having my 1st near death experience

thinking what a coincidence

when you grabbed me and pushed me

to the ground.

But unfortunately you got shot

in the windpipe.

You sacrificed your life

to save mine.

It's so sad to see you die.

It's hard for me to sleep at night,

but not only because the fact

that you died,

because I have a regret

and I owe you this secret,

and I'm ready to expose it.

as you look down from heaven,

just know that your wife

and I had an affair

and she's pregnant.
