I own that woman like I own the sea,
yeah right, nobody else is she for, she's just for me!
How much of that ocean can I selfishly steal?
Fill buckets and buckets, try as I might,
fill buckets all day, fill buckets all night!
Take, take, take, I can, as I like,
take a bunch, and then take more to delight.
Take and take, until I can take no more.
I see it is fruitless to take enough 'til I contain her,
Never will she fit in my small containers.
Expand I must, to just get a glimpse of her Allness,
When I'm so busy taking, it shows me my smallness!
Give I will learn as she teaches me,
give and give more until I rise like the sea!
