I Pity Those Who Hate To Pray! Poem by Denis Martindale

I Pity Those Who Hate To Pray!

I pity those who hate to pray, as if not seeking love,
Condemned to wander, and to stray, when times start getting tough,
With no relationship at all with God upon His Throne,
As if they need no miracle, or Saviour to atone.

Yet I must pray to God on high, whose Son once died for me,
With prayers transcending earth and sky, to seek His Majesty,
To seek His mercy, and His grace, to seek His favour, too,
And when I pray, and seek His face, my friends, I'll pray for you.

Prayer warriors, let's praise the Lord, let's find a common ground,
Beyond the thought of each reward that in the past we found.
This brand new day grants time for prayer, for strangers, and for friends,
For every blessing God would share, since His love never ends.

The harvest of lost souls exists, our duty God makes plain,
So pray like all evangelists, so more get born again!
