I Refuse To Believe Poem by Hebert Logerie

I Refuse To Believe

I refuse to believe that the United
States of America is absolutely divided,
After the last presidential election.

I refuse to believe the obvious selection
Was made by a formidable enemy or adversary,
Who had pulled the vital strings of the country.

I refuse to believe that Obamacare is dead
That millions of people have no insurance coverage,
Their life is in danger, and they will not see old age.

I refuse to believe that the defeat was, of course, lead
By greedy, rich, and creepy politicians who do not care
About the sick and the poor. This is an awful nightmare.

I refuse to believe that many people would swear
That we'll have an illegitimate President at the House
Of the People. I refuse to believe. I refuse to dare.

I refuse to believe that the controversial boss
Is a racist, a narcissist, a sexist, an elitist, a bully
And more. I refuse to believe that we're not crazy.

The people are not crazy, careless and complacent.
If they are, we're in trouble with this President.
Chaos and disaster will reign, America won't be great.

America with its massive resources will rise up again.
This time, America will not be an oasis, a haven
For the bigots. America will experience a better fate.
