“No, do not hit me” elder brother shouted
I was holding stone in one hand and aimed
It struck his elbow and fractured joint
He screamed loud with pain
I felt so much after seeing him in trouble
He was bending down and struggled
Whole of the arm was just hanging
People took him to bone setter and got some bandaging
Next day he was to be taken to big dispensary
There was no facility for x-ray in small city
Though it was small town but big trade center
It was really good place for the needs to cater
I too cried a lot as mother was upset
She told everybody not to let me in
I was afraid on one hand and guilty on another
I prayed god for elder brother to recover
I was naughty and famous
I used to quarrel and was really notorious
This incidence made me feel really bad
I cried from heart and sincerely felt sad
His elbow remained bent till he died
He still saved me from blame and lied
Mother and father both were damn angry
They did not give me food that day and kept hungry
I feel sad with tear even as on day
Brother’s face comes before eyes and goes away
I feel about him for being so much generous
He was indeed real elder and always took on shoulders
Lost. Memories. Sadness. LupaDemonae5 minutes ago The poem is sad. It talks about something really bad that happened with the narrator. We can notice, however, that it's not just one sad or bad thing, but a lot of happenings. And these happenings make the narrator write about it, because it's the only good thing that have left to him to do.
