I remember

I remember
The day that my life changed
I remember
The first time I laid my eyes on you
Heavens looked so beautiful
I remember
A promise I made to God
I remember
When I fell in love with you
I remember
When I asked if I could greet you
I remember
When you said yes
I remember
The perfume you were wearing
I can still smell it
I remember
How everything felt so right
I remember
The love of God
I remember
Saying thank you to God
I remember
It was so real and yet so beautiful
I remember
Why I smiled
I remember
Why people fall in love
It is because of souls like you
I remember
My second chance in life

Poem of the Day

poet Ralph Waldo Emerson

Knows he who tills this lonely field
To reap its scanty corn,
What mystic fruit his acres yield
At midnight and at morn?
