I Repeat Myself Poem by Shalom Freedman

I Repeat Myself

I REPEAT MYSELF

I repeat myself
And this Repetition
Proves my exhaustion

I have said what I could say
It does not seem to be much

Even this call for my own Silence
I have said many times

Saying it now again nonetheless
I am more alive than I would be
Were I just silent

I repeat myself

Writing now is not giving others what they need
It is simply helping keep myself alive
Mentally spiritually

I repeat myself
To save myself

But only for now.
