I Shouldn'T Have Told. Poem by desiree hayden

I Shouldn'T Have Told.

When you hug me at night you tell me these lies,
Like you really do love me and you actually do care.
I feel like I'm on an emotional rollercoaster,
Going up, down and all around.
With one day I love you then the next day you yell.
And you tell me that I'm not allowed to tell.
'Caus that's what you want is for me not to tell,
About your smacking and hitting, because then you'll just yell.
But you know I won't tell because then you'll just come back,
To say that I'm bad and shouldn't have told.
I shouldn't have told anbody, It would be better If I didn't say.
If I listened and just have stayed away.
I shouldn't have told.
