What do you think this poem is about?

I Sit And Wait/For Nothing To Happen

I SIT AND WAIT/FOR NOTHING TO HAPPEN

I sit and wait
For nothing to happen,
For the time to pass
Until the time of my hospital visit-

The day has been long tiring difficult
With little done in work
And yet not without its small pleasures -

Perhaps I do not have so much to do anymore,
I am seventy now-

But I am still alive
And must go on with it -

My friend will probably never leave this hospital alive-

I still have time
There is a breeze now
Tomorrow will be cooler
And I will try to begin again then.
