'I Spy With My Little Eye' Poem by Kevin Wang

'I Spy With My Little Eye'

dilemmas, problems, jigsaw puzzles
chaotic by each reckless move
popping out of the blue
with your two figments on each hand
fighting another heedless battle

this heart aching
as each note of the piano trembles
at each sound of a beat
heart twisting at the sound of an answer
rounding itself by the finger like a promise ring
stomach gripping itself as sweat pours down to a lake

disastrous love by each word
digging myself an own graveyard
as this eye of mine breaks down to the scar i have now
sighing to greatest value of don't know what to do

these seconds dripping by
hardens the shell, the armor i used to wear
but now i feel these battle constantly wearing out
where am I
where is this place

limited to my own point
scared scarred to a little sky
as it darkens and lightens with the unstable melody
what to do what to do as he asks

but now i can only
see with my little eyes
and watch it go by
washing away down the riverbed
what's this
where am I
how is this here
why am I slowing to a stop
this forever battle between light and dark
now i now what it means
to feel invisible once again
