No one to hear you cry
Family, betrayed
You can't help it, but you try
You think it's your fault
Why would he lay a fist?
Playing by yourself, and you hear

You try to escape this broken home
You know they don't believe you
You can hear it in their tone
Yeah, you have your friends
Most of them really care
They also don't know
What truly happened there
Deep inside you want them to know
But don't want their worries
Never let them close
Tell them to run and hurry!
Then there are the ones who've been there
The ones who truly know
The ones who stood by through it all
And helped as they watched you grow
But still, the pain is near
And you're scared
But never have you lived in fear
Knowledge is power that's what they say
And knowing your story
Is strength to help me through the days
