One day passes...another begins...and your still not here...and that makes me cringe...
What made you go...was it me? ...was it you? ...was it us? ...what made you leave and not feel this pain too? ...
Now you look so happy...but I know you...like you know me...and so I know there is pain you are going through...
Real stuff that hurts you and me...drugs, money, women, family...
And then there's stuff I know nothing about...and we smile like we have not a doubt...
But I know you like you know me...because we both are family...
I’ve felt the pain that you’ve felt...I’ve dealt the pain that you’ve dealt...
And you may not be here, but in my heart forever near...
