I Thought Of You Poem by Myrtle Thomas

I Thought Of You

I Thought Of You
Love is but a thought
an electrical impulse
but its comfort is soft to touch
beholding a vow
tender the kiss of a made up mind

That set impulse to love
a feeling starts in the mind
and moves to the heart
it envelopes to care and nurture
to protect and comfort
Never an after thought
but intents a lasting covenant
to share your thoughts
and you're bodies a pleasure
to please and make comfortable
O to love! my partner
my passionate lover
you alone touch my heart
my minds thoughts spark a fire
that smolders and smokes
as flames of desire lift to the sky
no ashes to blow away in the wind

Comfort me lover as a blanket
warm and soft to touch
cover me and hide me
protect me in your arms
look to me for your pleasure
and love me, my love as your treasure
