I Too Was Married Poem by Yewande Adedokun

I Too Was Married

Rating: 5.0

I too fell in love
I too was happy I found a boy
I too had dreams and fantasies
I too got a ring and said I do
I too found reality
I too had it not figured out
I too became sad
I too got lost in it
I too found out how cold it could get
I too learned to live with it
I too tell my story now
I too had no love left
I too just played the script as it is written
I too failed you, I could not make a difference
I too don't know what the future holds I'm sorry
I too will die
And you too will be married.
