I'Ve Loved You Poem by Juan Olivarez

I'Ve Loved You

I've loved you, for so long now,
That I can't recall the day.
When I didn't love you, anyhow,
That seems so far away.

But I still recall the day,
My heart you took with you.
You made me close up shop and stay,
And I followed with no clue.

My heart has been your property so long,
That I no longer hold the lease.
Our love has been a true love song,
That forever is carried on the breeze.

I've loved you for so long now,
With a love so strong and true.
That others marvel at just how,
In my life there's only you.

Love of my life, love of my soul,
My life would be empty without you.
I still adore your heart of gold,
Like my true love, there's very few.
