I Wait For The Rainbow Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

I Wait For The Rainbow

When my dreams
Like ship-wrecked paper boats
Get dashed in the streams of life
After a heavy rain
I cry.

When my loves
Like a transitory little sparrow
Leaves for the changing of seasons
Never to return
I sigh.

When my hopes
Like rushing sand in an hour glass
Slips through my fingers
About to be lost
I pray.

....then I wait for the rainbow.
