I Wait Upon The Actions Of God In The Coming Days Poem by Gert Strydom

I Wait Upon The Actions Of God In The Coming Days

(in answer to I. D. du Plessis)

The flowers of passion and love has opened,
do flower red when the night full of glittering stars glow,
while constantly you do captivate me in a thousand ways,
with poems like with flowers I stand before you
and during the night alone without you I get out of bed
are in that dark hour totally without tiredness
while I am struggling with dreams and feelings of you
and outside there is a silver-white big-eyed moon.
It is the hour to write down words,
I have found the doors of your heart again
and these words are more than just memories,
where everyone is struggling against a virus,
I come to you with the trust of a mere child,
while I wait up upon God to act in the days that come.
