I Walk And Walk/I Walk And Walk/I Am Not Going Anywhere Poem by Shalom Freedman

I Walk And Walk/I Walk And Walk/I Am Not Going Anywhere

I walk and I walk
I walk and walk
I am not going anywhere
I walk back and forth
Across the balcony
I am taking out my nervous energy
I am making myself feel better
I am enjoying the feeling of my body moving
I am walking just to walk
I am walking because I have all this time
And the world is closed down
I walk and I walk
I feel healthy and less worried walking
I walk every day
But now I walk more
I walk and walk and walk
Back and forth
Back and forth
In the small space
And I as I walk
I become more free
And am happier
Walking and walking
And going nowhere.
