I Want I Want Poem by Jim Agunga

I Want I Want

i want i want..
i want to live happily in this fine Kenya of ours,
share my joy with the happy family i have,
share the smile with my deserving friends that smile with me

i want i want
to check on my Dad and Mum,
make sure they are smiling every single day,

i want i want,
to tickle my young nieces, and nephews
hear those loud Lil joys of laughter,

i want i want
poke my friends on Facebook,
tweet em regularly,
yahoo em when i can,
call them for hours,
SMS them on back on them days,

I want i want
to see the world as a peaceful place,
to see people of different colors share coffee moments
to see leaders coming together,

i want i want
football fanatics wearing their team's jersey to matches,
people:
speaking in one voice,
living like warm neighbors,
staying away from politics,
taking violence to hell and not earth,
leaving farm tools to belong to the farm,

i want i want
you to be me,
me to be you,
us to be we,
we to be us,
Africa to be Asia,
Asia to be Europe,
Europe to be Antarctica,
Antarctica to be America,
America to be Australia,

i want i want
the world to be green,
rivers to be clean,
trees to complete with buildings,
'Bei ya Unga ishuke hadi 30/='
Kibera, Mathare na Soweto,

i want i want
you to read this twice,
thrice is also allowed
and so is four, five, six.....

i want i want
you to share this with a friend,
i wouldn't mind if you shared with your,
sister, mum, niece.

i want i want...

You want the people all over the world to live happily and keep away from politics. In an exhilarating mood, you have written the poem. But don't spend too much time before computers. Cheers!
