I Want To Sing All The Time Poem by Annie Cordelia Adams

I Want To Sing All The Time

i want so much to be in your arms
i want to be surrounded by farms
and beautiful landscapes around me
i want to escape this city

i want to sing all the time
why do people censor my hopes
i'm only hoping for God to see
that i can use all that he's given me

i don't want to get in the dirt
with the famous and the rich
i want to fly with the stars
who love who they are

i wouldn't trade my voice for anything
i realized that without it i can't sing
who'd have thought something so simple
could bring someone so much joy

i don't want to get in the dirt
with the famous and the rich
i want to fly with the stars
who love who they are
