I Wanted The Sky To Write Me A Poem

I WANTED THE SKY TO WRITE ME A POEM

I wanted the sky to write me a poem
I looked up to its dark spaces, grey clouds, deep stars-

I looked up at the sky again
And the Beauty of the night
Was too great for me
To bear the Silence of.

That piece of beauty passes?
There was a time when I did vow
