I Was Walking Around, In This Town Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

I Was Walking Around, In This Town

I was walking around, in this town. Do you see the sky’s above (Oh yes I do)

Do you even hear the blue birds singing? Do you feel the wind blowing; these are things that I see and the smell of the wind is so sweet.

When I walk these streets, they remind me of the times that I was a child.
Still there are memories, which I recall. Each and every night is so still, just like water being so calm.

So I was just, walking around in this town. Trying to rethink of the days that I was here.

All of the street signs were the same; even I looked at the house that I use to live in.
Still the wind was blowing very calm, through the clouds above.

Now this time, I will take a picture of this place. I sure hope to frame this on my wall.
