I Will Prove Better........ Poem by Deepak Ranga

I got late but reached just in time,
Her friends stared me bad, did I commit a crime?
An uninvited guest not unwanted, I sat there,
Nothing to do what possibly could I?

It was hard but I smiled, it was easy but I didn’t cry;
A strange feeling, I can’t describe, I stood still parallel to her side!
Shi…. Looked like a doll, then Shi…. Smiled and turned Angelic;
I was lost in despair, for I knew this loss was beyond repair! !

Few rounds around the fire, does that changes all, or the ring on her finger, I don’t know;
Does emotions and feelings prove too shallow!
Only thing that matches her beauty, I always gifted roses in red;
Would I have to change the colour to yellow! !

It’s over, leave it and move on, they all say;
There are some things even time can’t change, her beauty and my Love!
Shi…. Doesn’t love me Shi…. Says, truth or lie, it doesn’t matter;
‘Coz Shi…. also know if compared, I will prove better, I will prove better! !
