I Wish... Poem by Ainin Sofiya

I wish you'll look back and think again,
what had happened to us that had caused the pain.
How you cared for me with all your heart.
Now you don't even look at me, always picking up a fight.

I wish you'll just forgive me for leaving you like that,
Because I know you know it wasn't me who did all that.
Why can't you let go like how you let go of the others?
Why punish me with all of your hatred?

I wish boys have their hearts right under their sleeve,
So that it will be easier for me to get over this.
To make easier choice so that I'll never regret,
A mistake occurring that I may never forget.

I wish you would just look right into my eyes,
So that I can tell you the truth, not a bunch of lies.
I seriously can't take all of this anymore,
Why are you doing this? What is it for?

I wish everything will go back to normal like before,
Remember how we had tons of fun and so much more?
Why can't we have that because I miss us being friends,
Why does our friendship had to abruptly end?

I wish you would just give me a chance to explain it to you,
I bet things between us will be fixed in a few.
Well there's one more thing I'd like to point out,
I don't need you anymore but I guess that's not what it's all about.
