I Wish I Was Your Baby Poem by Colin Coplin

I Wish I Was Your Baby

Rating: 4.5

Sweet Wisdom's first born, born from / of the morning
Pride in the new form, shows him to heaven
Feeds him with laughter, feeds him with time
Feeds him a hunger, a fire deep within her mind

A man of good fortune, great passion and worldly wise
Divine inspiration, with a humorous side
Sensitive humanitarian, his hands shape the future for all
Hope bows her head in song, no human voice can hope to hum

Oh I wish, I wish I was your baby
Cradled safe in your arms
Knowing only joy, as I play at your feet

Held and protected
from the cold and the heat
Kissed lightly, held snuggly
Knowing only joy, as I plays at your feet

Sweet Wisdom's second child, who's born of the earth
A beautiful child, a touch wild mischief and mirth
Surrounded by love, his eyes are the day
Bringer of warmth, like the sun in the sky

He's fates special jewel and foot solider, a prophet to the rich and the poor
The keeper of time, brave passions giver of law
His mind is the future, a better place, made for us all
A gift and a treasure, a lighthouse for the world

Oh I wish, I wish I was your baby
Feeding at your breast
Stealing a smile
Knowing I love you too

Sweet Wisdom's third child, born of the breeze
Strength of creation, life's breast plate of peace
Brave and tender, defender of truth
A mixture of man, with a reckless ounce of youth

The lance of the people, he thrusts forth to battle space and time
Doyen of knowledge, he glows like sunshine
He breathes for the living, and honors the dead
Age has no boundaries, a halo crowns his head

Oh I wish, I wish I was your baby
Feeling myself one in your whole
Hearing the song, no human voice can hope to hum
