I wished that she was more like a dog
Instead of being more like a cat,
Where she's constantly sleeping like a log
And just getting fat.
I wish that she wouldn't be so lazy,
Which is ultimately driving me crazy.
I wished like a dog she was faithful
And that she would always wait for me,
Instead of being unfaithful
And like a cat running up a neighbors tree.
I wished like a dog for me should wait,
At our door or at our gate.
I wished like a dog she was loyal
And happy to see me when I got home,
Greeting me as though I was royal
And not like a cat always to different houses to roam.
I wished she was more like that,
I wished she had the attributes of a dog and not a cat.
