I wrote the poem of my life
In silence over many years
It was not a great poem
As I had hoped
But it is my poem
All I have
All which will stand for me
When I am forever not
If you ever chance to read any of it
Please remember that behind it all
Was a person who loved and cared
For family and friends
With all his soul
And was thankful to God
For the many blessings of his life.
