Ice Queen Poem by Ough Jay Sole

Ice Queen

I've heard a tale about Hollow Peak winter,
Rumours were nothing can survive the frost,
Queen's heart was pierced by a glacial splinter,
Her eyes luring those strangers who wander lost.

Captured in embracement of her gentle arms,
Left in a sweet state of numbness,
Enchanted by her royal charms,
You'd be blindfolded by a feigned fondness.

During your dreams of a life by her side,
The malignant heart of hers would consume your passion,
After nothing was left from you but sculpture of ice,
She'd find a new victim, for it is her fashion.

All of that you would watch steady and paralyzed,
Blood in your veins in frenetic swirl,
Coming to real life from being hypnotized,
Teardrops in waterfall freezing to pearls.

Lovely young girl told me this legend of sorrow,
Purple hair reaching her shoulders,
Met her by accident, left on the morrow,
I felt my heart already smouldered.

Didn't last too long and it caught a fire,
Pulling me back to her cozy dwelling.
Pursuing some queen to become her squire?
No, thank you, that's just not selling.

I realized it was her way too late,
Already drowned in her endless beauty,
Nothing can save me, I've swallowed the bait,
I'd forgotten what was my duty.

Others are listening to her treacherous words,
I fell so easily into her clutches,
Melting queen's heart will cost lifes of herds,
Now it is me who needs some warming touches.
