Soul Eater Poem by Ough Jay Sole

Soul Eater

The world has turned black and white,
Sour and bitter,
Since you're not by my side,
Stars do not glitter.

My body has become a cracking shell,
Empty and hollow,
My heart was tossed down the deepest well,
I lost my compass, what shall I follow?

How did I deserve that? Weren't we bound,
By love and care?
Or was I only a plaster for your old wound,
The one you tear off and let it flare?

Our love was doomed from the very start,
If it was coming from just one side.
That's why I need you to honestly say,
What was the reason that made you stay.

If you never loved me,
Why did you stay with me,
Four years?

Did I just live a fake life,
Leading my heart to fight,
Four years?

Was I here just to fill a gap,
To tease your former lad,
Four years?

Did I waste my love on you,
Only to make him blue,
Four years?

Is this the time to set it back,
And for me to regret,
Those four years?

I never thought I'd meet someone so cruel,
Someone for whom feeding on pain is a fuel.
But you crossed the boundaries of any compassion,
Dumped me like a tool of revenge after the session.

You think it has cured him,
But have you ever thought,
Of me?

Am I to act like a ghost now,
Keep my mouth shut,
Suffer for my love,
Never show up,
Four years?
