Idolatry Poem by Kendra Renee

Idolatry

Rating: 5.0

You put knowledge in my heart
I fell for the silent symphonies that are your eyes
That blasts the melody of our love but cuts the cord of your affection
Your hands that manipulate my husk of insecurity
While my adoration flows outta me and later joins
The puddle of guilt shame and sorrow that oozes out of every part of me
Your body that rushes onto my cool body with a sultry incandescence That I can't help but surrender to with pulsation and not even a glimmer of self worth
When you kiss me do you taste the desperation, condemnation, or self loathe
When Your lips collide onto mine
I savor the bitter taste of deceit, impertinence, and lust
The Intoxicating aroma of your lust, love, and lies
Is a cocktail I inhale everyday
You keep me a fiend for your cocaine attention
One sniff and I'm pulled in your direction
How is it that four of my senses can sense that you're no good for me
I can't see anything wrong sometimes I think you're my destiny or maybe its just my idolatry
