If At All Poem by Amitava Sur

If At All

Rating: 4.0

If at all you decided to leave me in between
Then why unnecessarily you loved me for a while?
If at all you decided to forget me in between
Then why have you knotted me within those delicate hands?

Very lovingly I kept you
In a bed of rose in my heart
That poor heart is so badly bruised
With so many arrows of pains.

Tell me now and show me the way
How to live without you.
So selfishly you left me alone
Leaving no means to live! !

Everything and every where
It is so numb and mum,
This life without you
Is so meaningless and trash.

If at all … if at all you decided
Not to remain with me
You have to tell me now
Why, why and why then you spoiled me? ? ?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Missing you dear, so badly I miss you that I'm calling your name, I'm charging you.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

All love becomes necessary, Amitava for the time we have it to hold. Love once had, then gone, batters and bruises us from the inside out. No one can see our suffering, we are alone in it, without any means of helping ourselves deal with it. Our beings become numb when those we love are gone from sight. We question why we ever loved, now knowing the price of it. It is a very difficult thing to go through, Amitava, but you are doing the right thing, writing of your feelings and emotions. Your poetry has been deepened, it's meanings especially, because of what you are dealing with. Poem after poem is a beautiful tribute to Rakhee, it is all a perfect poetical diary of your love.
