If Ever Poem by Katie P...

If Ever

Rating: 5.0

If ever i were to love you,
would you love me back?

If ever i were to kiss you,
would you kiss me back?

If ever i were to write you a story,
would you write me one back?

& If ever i were to show you the way,
would you help me find the way back?

If you were to love me, kiss me, write me a story, & help me find the way back, everything would just be too easy.

All this mixed together, we would make two become one, complete.
All this mixed together, we would make a family, of laughter & love.
But yet, you will never love me,
you will never kiss me,
you will never even begin to write me a story,
& you will never show me the way back.

The one thing you have done for me is,
taught me how to love,
you showed me the best way to kiss,
you finished not 1,2, or 3 storys, but 2 books about me,
& you lead me the whole way through & back.

how can i explain that this poem makes me wonder? ! ? ! Simple, and understandable! ! ! it pulled me in as i read the first sentence... the first few words were all it took to grab my attention. i like that with the usage of very simple words, easy to understand, you can add so much emotion into them!
