If I Can
If I can help one soul survive
and be free from desolation
then all the hurts that come my way
will be turned into salvation.
If I can help one soul to be happy
and be free from desperation
then all the sadness that comes my way
will be turned into elation.
And so I'll give of myself this day
and all the days I'm living.
The happiness that's derived from this
is worth all of the giving.
