So the chill I’m feeling now will end and set me free

If I could I would love to paint your lips with my rueful kiss
So you would know all these years my heart has been a mess
If I could – yes, I would.

If I could, would you take my hands when I give them back to you
But a part of me is saying you wouldn’t do so
If you would – yes, I could.

They say we can never turn back the time after it’s gone
And the scars never go away after what’s done is done
But with love, my heart sees things unfolding again
If we would – yes, we could.
