If I Could Only Learn To Accept/I Will Forever Be Forgotten Poem by Shalom Freedman

If I Could Only Learn To Accept/I Will Forever Be Forgotten

If I could only learn to accept
I will be forever forgotten
Then I could perhaps
Make the rest of my life happier

I could live for the time I have left
And give what I have to give
Without concern about reward

If I could forget immortality greatness eternity
I might go more peacefully to my grave
And perhaps do better for others
I most care about.
