If I Could Whisper Poem by Carolyn Ford Witt

If I Could Whisper

- * IF I COULD WHISPER *-

If I could whisper in your ear
I'd promise you the stars,
But you won't let me tell you
For you carry many scars.

If I could whisper in your ear
I'd tell you of my love,
But you just hide behind the pain
Of anothers push and shove.

If I could whisper in your ear
So many things I'd say,
But because you listened to her then
You now, push me away.

Well, I will whisper to you now
And my love to you disclose,
And thank the Lord for the knowledge
That, for me, You're the one He chose.

And if you'll listen to Him
I know you'll realize,
That I'm the one He sent to you
When you look into my eyes.

IF I COULD WHISPER.....I LOVE YOU!
