If I Glorify Poem by Denis Martindale

If I find the application, the willingness to try,
Then there's joyful celebration with angels, too, on high.
They praised the Lord, with sweet accord, upon that Christmas Day,
And it's no wonder they adored God's precious Son that way.
To think, they knew what prophets meant, and revelation shared,
To think, that's how the shepherds went, for nothing else compared!
No greater choice, no greater thing, had they prepared to do,
That day, they met their future king, the King of Kings, that's true.
If I find the application, I can praise God if I try,
If I find the inspiration, and if I glorify...
The King of Love and Calvary, the Lord of Lords as well...
To think, that Christ will gaze on me, the one He saved from Hell.
One day, I'll see my Saviour's face, the Lamb of God so brave,
That's if I glorify God's grace, my precious soul to save!
