If I Tell You I Love You, Can I Have A Kiss? Poem by Hailey Marie

If I Tell You I Love You, Can I Have A Kiss?

Rating: 3.0

Jealousy's a sin along with liquor and gin.
I'll have alot to repent for when I get to the pearly gates.
Looking at the couples I get feelings in my gut, loneliness, wishing I was the one goin' on dates.
But I'm not I probably won't ever be, cause guys don't seem so interested in me

I've tried wishing upon shooting stars it doesn't seem to get me far
guys puttin me under their spell, then hurting me and putting me in a personal hell.
Wheres my one true love? my only one? I want my happy ending soon before I lose hope,
before I give up and end up dead, suspended by a rope.

All these people telling me I'm the sweetest boy
but all these boys use me like a toy, must be a sign on my heart that says 'seek and destroy'
I think I'm broken, but I only need someone to love me, someone to fix me
Will you please be that someone? put bandaids on my heart and promise not to rip it apart

I'm sorry that I can't be happy with just my friends
I know I'm to young to want someone to love me to the end
but I wanna try even if it just ends up to be some foolish high school romance
the kind fueled with passionate nights where the bedroom floor wears your pants.

There is a good rhyme or two in here. There are some good lines too. But quit honestly, there is not a lot more to really care about. The writer tells you what they want but not in an interesting way. I cannot recommend this. GW62
