If It Goes On Without End Poem by Shalom Freedman

If It Goes On Without End

If it goes on without end
Universe after universe
Universe along universe
Infinite possibilities
And we appearing again
In every other instant and decision
Of our lives
And every alternative
Having a universe for all alternatives

What can this mean in us now
In the one and only world
We are truly conscious of?

Small Consolation indeed
These infinite might- bes
And these infinite might-bes
In three or four or more dimensions.
