If Mind Murky Remains Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

If Mind Murky Remains

Rating: 5.0

It's like washing-cleaning a skunk
If mind its murky muck retains,
A fish remains in water dunk,
Her stink still as ever remains.

Kabeer is another medieval saint poet. One of his quatrains is taken here for translation (transliteration as under) :

nahāye dhoye kyā bhayā, jo mana maila na jāye,
mīna sadā jalamen rahe, dhoye bāsa na jāye.

Thank you once again, three of the leading poets appreciating it.... But hats off to Kabeer's beautiful rendition in the local lingo.
