If Only
I try but can't seem to get myself to think of anything but you
Your sweet gentle words race through my mind
All I can see is the vision of us two
I want to be with you, if only for a night
To look into your eyes and feel your warm tender kiss
To be the one in your arms, you holding me tight
I can't fight this feeling anymore
Let's live as if we might die tonight
The voice in my head I cannot ignore
I want you to have at my side
I want to turn to you when I need to cry
And even if it's only for tonight
I want you there holding me tight
Letting me know it will all be alright
As we let our love finally ignite
If only for tonight
